phgaming Anne Hathaway lands lead role in Colleen Hoover’s ‘Verity’
After “It Ends With Us,” another book from Colleen Hoover is getting a film adaptation with Anne Hathaway in the main role.
Hoover took to social media on Thursday, Nov. 21, to share Hathaway’s casting in the upcoming movie adaptation of her best-selling novel, “Verity.”

Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling thriller author Verity Crawford (Hathaway), hires Ashleigh to finish his wife’s bestselling book series, which Verity is unable to continue after a mysterious accident.
“Verity,” the novel, spent months on the New York Times bestsellers list, selling more than 1 million copies in 2023 alone.

Other recent works include the romantic comedy film “The Idea of You,” coming-of-age drama “Armageddon Time,” and an adaptation of “Eileen,” Ottessa Moshfegh’s 2015 coming-of-age novel.
